We all need
The Challenge
As organizations grow and evolve their brand, they quickly realize they have a need to centralize their creative assets, particularly images and the workflow surrounding those images. In defining and maintaining a strong, consistent brand message, it is important that all team members have access to the most current and appropriate brand assets, as their workflow requires. Additionally, as asset owners, there is a need to ensure the most appropriate assets are available, based on current campaigns, and brand updates.
Overview
Engaged primarily as a sole UX designer, to learn and understand technical landscape and system constraints (including out-of-the-box software) in order to test and recommend configuration and design for maximum user task effectiveness. Successfully collaborated with team members, including engaging in Agile coaching, helping reduce development time and working to ensure user delight. Collaborated with teams of sizes ranging from a single developer to multiple SCRUM teams across geographies. Real-time technical collaboration to ensure appropriate alternatives are implemented when constraints are found. In some cases, scope of work included collaborating with design agencies, leading user research activities and UX design.

Scope of Work
User Research
Initial scope of user research included content audits, surveys and UX expert reviews as well usability and user observation sessions of both current and proposed tools and processes.
UX Prototyping
Creating interactive prototypes used as working models to drive rapid iteration and emotional engagement by enabling users to show how a product will help them achieve their goals. Prototyping performed in an iterative fashion, progressing from wireframes to high-fidelity interactive prototypes and ultimately front-end HTML templates which are delivered to back-end development team.
UI Design
Designing the optimal user interface design, based on research findings and focused on branding, layout and ensuring each page visually facilitates optimal path. In some cases design included the constraints of using out-of-the-box solutions. Goals included: Redesigning search interactions, improving site navigation and taxonomy, and delivering a mobile version.
Technical Collaboration
Actively engaging in product development and implementation such that any design guidelines are adequately modified as necessary, while maintaining the intended experience. In most cases, this included participation in daily stand up meetings, user story creation and acceptance, and iterative testing of proposed solutions.
