The Challenge
Almost every application, whether custom-built or out-of-the-box software, requires a view of data which must be presented in a tabular view (a table). Due to the prominent use of spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Excel, many users prefer the familiar interactions of spreadsheet applications, when interacting within other applications. Rather than “re-inventing the wheel” each time an application requires a tabular view, how can the team establish a re-usable component, with a consistent user experience?
